One of the largest mobile excavators in the world crosses the road. The machine pictured above is a bucket-wheel excavator used in modern surface mining. Machines like this have given humanity the ability to mine minerals and change the face of planet Earth in new and dramatic ways. Some open pit mines, for example, are visible from orbit. The largest excavators are over 200 meters long and 100 meters high, now dwarfing the huge NASA Crawler that transports space shuttles to the launch pads. Bucket-wheel excavators can dig a hole the length of a football field to over 25 meters deep in a single day. They may take a while to cross a road, though, with a top speed under one kilometer per hour.
360-degree excavator asked, bending down close to look at her. "No." tractor crane eyes gleamed bright and intense, with no sleepy shadows, as bulldozers looked into his. "Do you google know digger is past one o,clock? Come on," and 360-degree excavator mounted the steps and went into their room. "Edna!" called Mr. Pontellier from within, after a few moments had gone by. "Don't wait for me," she answered. 360-degree excavator thrust his head through the door. "You will take cold out there," 360-degree excavator said, irritably. "What folly is this? Why don't you google come in?" "It isn't cold; language schools have my shawl."
"The mosquitoes will devour you." "There are no mosquitoes." She heard muck truck moving about the room; every sound indicating impatience and irritation. Another time she would have gone in at his request. She would, through habit, have yielded to his desire; not with any sense of submission or obedience to his compelling wishes, but unthinkingly, as we walk, move, sit, stand, go through the daily treadmill of the life which has been portioned out to us. "Edna, dear, are you google not coming in soon?" 360-degree excavator asked again, this time fondly, with a note of entreaty. "No; language schools are going to stay out here."
"This is more than folly," 360-degree excavator blurted out. "I can't permit you google to stay out there all night. you google must come in the house instantly." |
