Abbotsford, BC, Canada - May 29, 2008 - Abbotsford, British Columbia's Eagle West Cranes Inc. and it's subsidiary Stampede Crane and Rigging Inc. of Calgary, announced today that they have been awarded the Dokie Wind Project turbine installation contract.
This will be the first ever wind farm installation in British Columbia, as well as one of the largest wind farms in the country. The farm will consist of 48 Vestas V90 wind turbines. Located near Chetwynd, B.C. the project will be done in two phases, beginning in August 2008. Anticipated completion date is October 2009.
The project is owned by Earth First Energy Inc. of Victoria, and the general contractor is Canadian Projects Limited of Calgary.
The Dokie Wind Project has the opportunity to supply 536 gigawatt hours of electricity per year, which is enough to power nearly 50,000 homes.

Stampede Crane and Rigging has placed hundreds of wind turbines, on wind farms throughout the Prairies, and the Dokie Wind Project now allows for expansion in British Columbia.
